Biography:

BOBBI HYUN: Bobbi (Jeong Eui) Hyun is originally from South Korea, where she trained in Ballet and Contemporary Dance. After living in and traveling to different countries, she settled in Singapore. She received a Diploma in Dance with Distinction from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and performed works by Mercedes Pablos (US), Kevin Wynn (US), Ezekiel Oliveira (Portugal/UK), Wen Chun Liu (Taiwan), Gillian Tan, Yvonne Ng, and Filomar Cortezano Tariao. For further study, she earned a BFA in Dance from SUNY Purchase, where she performed works by Dylan Crossman (France/US), Doron Perk (Israel), and Deborah Lohse (US). Alongside her studies, she attended professional programs such as the Gaga Summer Intensive, Martha Graham Summer Intensive, and the DOVA Choreographic Intensive. To continue her artistic career, she assisted at dance festivals and worked on project-based performances in Singapore and South Korea. Living in different countries and experiencing new cultures and environments has deepened Bobbi’s interest in Korean culture and Korean dance. She has become particularly fascinated by incorporating elements from her unique experiences into her work. To pursue her projects as a freelancer, Bobbi established her company in 2023.

KENNADIE FRIEDLANDER: is a ballet-based contemporary dancer currently freelancing around Victoria and Vancouver. She grew up training at Ballet Victoria Conservatory and graduated from the Ballet Victoria Aspirant Program in June 2023. Through BV and BVC, she has had the opportunities to create contemporary choreography for individual students as well as a sponsored contemporary trio for the company, performed at the Farquhar Theatre, May of 2023 in the 'Resurrection' performance. Kennadie was featured in our 2022 Fountain of Youth, performing Vitor Freitas' work.
