BODY LANGUAGE returns to celebrate and support Suddenly Dance Theatre in its 27th season. This visual art exhibition and fundraiser features a dynamic collection of donated works by an exceptional group of 23 artists.

We ask: How do you interpret the body and its expression through movement, gesture, form, or spirit? How does this ‘dance’ impact you?

All sales transactions are made and tracked through this website, with proceeds to support Suddenly Dance Theatre's new international collaboration We Are Diamonds.

Mitchell Villa is a primarily self taught artist. Drawn to the endless possibilities and mark-making applications of the painting medium, he began experimenting with acrylics early on and transitioned into oil in 2018. Villa has established himself as a painter in Western Canada, eventually settling down his practice in Victoria, BC, where he finds the quieter pace of the city better suited to the containment and focus a studio practice requires.

Villa studied Visual Arts and received a diploma in Digital Design at Vancouver Film School. He was a regional semi-finalist in the Bombay Artisan Series and has been showcased at Fortune Art Gallery, Sooke Fine Arts, Polychrome Fine Art, The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria.

Non-Local delivery: Upon your purchase, we will contact you with your approximate shipping plan and costs associated. A special link for paying shipping costs will be provided. Artwork will be shipped once shipping costs are paid for by the purchaser. Timelines can vary depending on the size and weight of the artwork purchased, shipping destination, and carrier. Please let us know if you have a preferred method of shipping, shipping needs, or have your own Fedex #.

Artworks are securely packaged in custom-built crates or packages.

International shipments may require additional information for customs paperwork. International shipments may be subject to additional local import taxes and/or duties to be paid only by the purchaser.
